Hello, how are you? Yeah? That's great.

Happy Canada Day long weekend! It's been pretty decent so far, aside from the whole having to work for part of today thing. And Happy Gay Pride, for all of you who are Gay and Proud. Unfortunately, I missed the parade this year, but I'm sure there'll be more assless chaps to view next year. Instead, I was preoccupied with a marathon date, of which you are not going to get any details. What I will say, though, is that he was gracious enough to hang out on a hill behind Molson Amphitheatre with me for a few hours, listening to the Pearl Jam concert that I didn't get tickets to. How sweet.

So I made my first ever burned CD tonight. You'd think that someone who has 1400+ MP3's on her computer (don't sue me RIAA) would've had a burner long ago, but no. Not me. Because I suck. But a very good friend (and he knows who he is) gave me his burner to use for a few months. I'm actually amazed that I set this thing up properly and the first CD burned without a single hitch! Go me! So without further ado, I give you Along For The Ride, which is meant to be a fun car mix for my summer travels.

Here's the tracklisting:

Pulp - Common People
Breeders - Cannonball
Violent Femmes - American Music
Blind Melon - No Rain
Rusty - Soul For Sale
Sloan - Money City Maniacs
Supergrass - Alright
Matthew Sweet - Girlfriend
Republica - Ready To Go
Dandy Warhols - Bohemian Like You
Veruca Salt - Volcano Girls
Hawksley Workman - Striptease
Eels - Mr. E's Beautiful Blues
Elastica - Connection
The Kinks - Lola
Folk Implosion - Natural One
Lemonheads - Mrs. Robinson
Odds - Eat My Brain
Pixies - Here Comes Your Man

I have to say, I'm loving this mix. There's not really anything new on it, but I think that's what makes it a keeper.

Tra la la...must. burn. more. discs.

C.
