Jun. 18.03 @ 10:52 p.m. Even though it's now Thursday, I'd like to say I had the most excellent past weekend. A bunch of the Bestest Friends and I piled into a few cars and headed to Windsor for Bestest Boy M's grad party. And what a grad party it was. His family went all out and got the party catered, with every type of food you could possibly imagine. Every type of beverage was available, as well. Mmmm. But it wasn't the food that made the weekend so great, it was the company. Nothing makes me feel more grounded and at home than spending some quality time with bestest kids. Oddly enough, this weekend was completely 100% porn free. That's almost unheard of! At least it proved once and for all that we really can have a good time without nudity. Just as long as there's a bit of inappropriate touching to be had. But enough of that. I've been getting my ass back into gear lately, and it feels great. I find it hard to fathom that my entire life revolved around athletics before I moved to Toronto, and now? Well, now I sit in an office all day, where every ounce of energy is sucked right out of me, leaving me tired and miserable when I get home. But no more. I start my soccer and volleyball leagues in a few weeks, so I need to be ready for them. I've been walking home from work, going back to the gym, playing ball, etc., and it feels great. It's so hard when you have no motivation, yet so easy once you get over that hump. On the concert front, this afternoon I managed to score a reasonably cheap set of Pearl Jam tickets for the Toronto show. I was reminded of the reason I quit Ebay years ago...it's so bloody stressful. I can't handle hanging around and watching those last minute bids. It's too much. It's just too much. They're lawn seats, and I only ended up paying $10 on top of the face value, which is practically unheard of on Ebay. Very happy. Tomorrow morning I'll be trying my luck for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club tickets. They're playing at Lee's Palace on July 5th. Then on Saturday, I have to fight with everyone and their dog on Ticketbastard for Radiohead tickets. I know, I know, I just went, but one of my friends got me so excited about it, I changed my mind and decided I'd be a fool not to go. Afterall, the Dublin show was incredible. I'm such a concert whore. *Yawn* My bed is calling my name. C.
