Jul. 27.03 @ 12:20 a.m. If I'm going to be realistic and honest with myself, he really just decided what I'd been on the fence about for quite a while and couldn't come up with a decision for myself. I kept telling myself to give it more time, give it more time. But you know, he could've shown a little courtesy and respect to do it in person when he was over the day before, or at the very least talked to me about it on the phone. I totally deserve that much, and that's what irks me. Other than that, the whole thing was a lot of fun when we hung out, and I do wish him the best of luck with everything. Me thinks I wasn't meant to be tied down afterall, but at least I made an effort this time. It's a start, right? So, yeah. I guess it'll seem quite anti-climactic to mention that I had a pretty good time with three of my Bestest Boys last night, even though I was expecting it to be quite low key. One of our friends was visiting from Vancouver, and he's a bit hard to talk to being that he's shy and all. He called me up and after about five minutes I realized I didn't know what to say to him, so I gave him a few other friends phone numbers and wished him a safe trip back home. Well, the one guy who's number I gave called me about an hour later pleading to go out with him and the quiet one, so I said okay. Then I sprung into action and convinced Bestest Boy B. to come to T.O. for the night, as well. Strength in numbers and all. We ended up going for dinner at this place near my house, and my god, I haven't eaten so much meat in ages! Wings and ribs. So many wings and ribs. And, unfortunately, I couldn't even wash it down with beer, due to the antibiotics. Sigh. As if that wasn't enough, they wanted Dairy Queen for dessert. Oy! Trying. To. Kill. Me. Came back to my place where I was finally able to utilize the patio furniture in the backyard. Even though these Boys are probably the three quietest of all my friends, I forgot how much fun we always manage to have, even just sitting around. Good times, good times. Anyone seen 28 Days Later? Saw that last night, as well, and woah is that movie ever weird. Everyone had been saying how scary it is, but I'd say it was more gory than anything. I don't do well with people projectile vomiting all over the place; it makes me gag. Apparently last night was the first night they were showing the alternate ending after the credits rolled. It sucked. I'm not sure if I'd recommend this movie or not...ask me in a few days. Anyway. Damn these antibiotics! I'm supposed to be out for a friend's stagette right now, but I couldn't stomach the idea of being at a stuffy overpriced club without being able to consume stuffy overpriced drinks. Not my idea of fun. It's unfortunate, though, because I could use a really strong drink right about now. C.
